Founder & Media Minister

Francis Tuffour is a media minister, digital strategist, and communication leader with more than two decades of experience using media and technology to advance faith-based mission and engagement. He currently serves as the Digital Media and Communication Director for the Ohio Conference, where he oversees digital media strategy, web presence, public relations, media relations, content creation, and digital marketing. In this role, he also supports pastors, schools, ministries, and departmental leaders with communication resources and training.
Francis is the founder of Advent World, a faith-driven digital media ministry dedicated to sharing Adventist music, stories, and messages of hope through responsible, human-led, and spiritually guided use of technology. His work reflects a deep conviction that innovation, when prayerfully directed, can be a powerful tool for ministry without compromising theological integrity or ethical standards.
With over 20 years of dynamic online experience, Francis has managed and grown digital platforms reaching more than two million followers and community members worldwide. His expertise spans media ministry, search engine optimization (SEO), social media management, online community leadership, instructional design, and digital storytelling. He is a strong advocate for equipping Christian communicators and church leaders to thoughtfully engage emerging media platforms in mission-driven ways.
Francis has served in diverse ministry and media roles across Ghana and the United States. He previously worked with Andrews University’s Integrated Marketing & Communication Department as an Enrollment Strategic Marketing Assistant and with Adventist Information Ministry, a Seventh-day Adventist evangelistic call center. He also served as an Instructional Facilitator with Andrews University’s Department of Digital Learning and Instructional Technology (DLiT).
His ministry background includes more than a decade of pastoral ministry with the South Central Ghana Conference, where he later served as Communication Director (2010–2014), overseeing media relations, public information, and digital communication strategy. During this period, he founded the Society of Adventists in Media (SAM), a professional association established to support and develop Adventist media practitioners in Ghana. He has also served as a Chaplaincy Director.
Francis has contributed to media production at Pioneer Memorial Church on the campus of Andrews University, serving as a media team member for worship services aired on Hope Channel, 3ABN, Safe TV, and other networks. His broader media initiatives include the creation and management of Obra TV, an over-the-top (OTT) Christian media outlet, as well as educational and digital projects, each focused on education, faith, and ethical technology use.

Francis also holds professional certifications in Digital Marketing, SEO, and Community Management, including credentials from Google, Meta, and the University of California, Davis. He has been recognized by Meta (Facebook) as a Power Admin and selected for several invite-only leadership programs focused on online community excellence and innovation.
One of the defining moments of his media journey was his selection by NASA to participate in the State of NASA Social at the NASA Glenn Research Center in Ohio. The State of NASA Social is a special media event in which NASA selects and invites digital creators and influencers, based on the strength and impact of their platforms, and provides exclusive behind-the-scenes access to its facilities, missions, and personnel, enabling participants to share NASA’s story with their audiences.
Francis’ lifelong passion is media ministry. His vision is to responsibly harness communication and technology to share the gospel, strengthen faith communities, and equip the church for mission in a digital world. He lives in the United States and continues to serve the global church through innovation rooted in faith.
